BRICK RETAINING WALLS

This retaining wall is probably the most tradional.   Through lack of increases in wall  thicknesses and improper provision of backfill drainage, this type of wall has established a history of structural failures.

The wall is usually not economical for retained heights above 1.2m however it is useful in matching the brickwork in adjacent buildings to create uniformity of appearance.
